Give Today to Assist Us in Addressing Poverty
Alleviating the Poverty of Our Neighbors
The Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency, founded in 1967, is the leading anti-poverty, non-profit social services provider in Marion and Polk Counties. We offer tools for self-sufficiency to low-income residents who are seeking relief from poverty. Our eight unique programs were designed for the unique needs of our region—we provide everything from weatherization services to childcare assistance, from homeless youth shelters to nutrition programs. We believe everyone deserves dignity, a positive future, and a life without poverty.

Donor-Advised Funds
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are a very effective way to give to charities, where donors set aside money to be granted to charitable organizations. You can support MWVCAA through a Donor Advised Fund grant. When processing a DAF grant, search for MWVCAA by tax ID number (23-7056987).
Securities/Stock
To make a gift of stock, please notify the Development Department in advance of the transfer by contacting (971) 304-6848 or development@mwvcaa.org.
Retirement Plans and IRAs
A retirement plan, such as an IRA, can be a smart source for charitable giving. If you are 70½ years or older, an IRA charitable rollover gift allows you to direct up to $100,000 tax-free to MWVCAA each year from your traditional IRA, which satisfies your required minimum distribution and reduces your taxable income. Contact your IRA custodian to request a direct distribution to MWVCAA. Married taxpayers who meet QCD requirements and file joint returns can donate $100,000 from each spouse’s IRA, for a total of $200,000 annually.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Many companies match donations made by their employees to registered nonprofit organizations. You can ask your company if they might be able to match your donation this year. The impact of your gift to MWVCAA could potentially be doubled!
