Taylor’s House welcome’s children as young as 11. Regardless of their age, we are proud that the children living at Taylor’s House turn out the light each night without fear of being trafficked, waking up cold and wet, or concerned about that three-day-old sandwich they’ve been saving.

As the most comprehensive homeless services and anti-poverty agency in the state, we can get them from homelessness to housed and beyond. But it all starts the moment they walk into their new home. We need your help to create it for them.

In the far corner of the room will be a chair with a table to rest your water bottle. They can see themselves reading or drawing there. In front of the TV they want a huge sofa because, they really need each other. And they need naps. The paint will be fresh. It will feel like a home. Not outdated or institutional, but a reflection of them.

It doesn’t take a lot to make us a feel at home. Whether it’s a new set of pillows that match our sheets, a new nightstand for our phone charger and picture frame or a lamp to light up our reading corner, all these little things can create an environment where we feel safe, comfortable and cared for. When we feel cared for, we feel like we can take on the world! Can you help give our local youth the same feeling?
